Do you do custom inlay work?

Yes I do, rates are $60 an hour with a 4 hour minimum. Quotes will be estimated on a per piece basis

Do you take custom orders?

Yes I do but the price reflects the extra amount of work to create the design, patterns, jigs and fixtures that are necessary to keep the level of work at a high standard.

How long can I expect to wait for a guitar from you?

I build in batches of eight, I allow a number of spaces for each type of build. Turnaround times are 4-5 months. From the start of a build cycle. Those who sign up on the waiting list will be informed first of openings for future guitar runs.

How long does it take to build a guitar?

To build an archtop style guitar, with modest trimmings takes about 120 hours. A solid body with a flat top and few trims much less. A chambered hollow body somewhere in between.  Archtop construction techniques add many steps that that simply are not applicable or necessary for a solid body guitar.

What does hand made mean?

Applied to guitar building handmade means that I created using my hands, all of the jigs and fixtures used to produce parts for guitars, then using those jigs and fixtures I am able to repeatedly make parts using basic hand and power tools. I use Jigs and fixtures to maintain a high level of accuracy that is essential to building high quality guitars.
