Build Your Own Guitar Course
The title says it all! This class is tailored to anyone who would like to build a solid body electric guitar. We start with raw materials and finish with a playable product that you take home at the end of the week. From laying out scales and designing your own guitar, to fretwork, setup and electronics, we will cover all the stages of electric guitar building in our week of hands on instruction. All skill levels are welcome for the BYOG class.
The course will focus on the construction of your bolt on neck, slab body, electric guitar with a hand rubbed oil finish. The finish has been chosen to allow students to fully complete the guitar, and travel home with their newly created instruments. A nitro finish just takes too long to apply and cure to be a course option, but know that most things are available as services if not part of the course. *
